The BOE publishes the dismissal at his own request

The Official State Gazette (BOE) published this Saturday the dismissal, at his Telegram Number Data own request, of Alberto Núñez Feijóo as president of the Xunta de Galicia , a position from which he has resigned to focus on his work as leader of the Popular Party.


In accordance with the provisions of article 15.2 of the Statute of Autonomy of Galicia, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, declares the dismissal of Feijóo as head of the Galician Executive and thanks him for "the services provided," the BOE states.



Feijóo formalized his resignation from office this Friday and conveyed it to the Galicians through an institutional statement in which he claimed that he leaves a "cordial Galicia" marked by "unity" and "moderation."

Likewise, he left a message justifying his departure to lead the state PP: "I cannot share that in Spain what was possible in Galicia is impossible."
