Oklahoma State makes the cut for pair of 4-star prospects

Oklahoma State coaches received some good news during the weekend, as two of their top offensive targets for 2020 and 2021 kept the Cowboys in the running for their commitments. First up is 2020 four-star all-purpose back Daniyel Ngata, who announced his top-7 on Twitter on Sunday. Arizona State, Clemson, Oregon, Penn State, Texas AM and Utah also made the cut.  That list was trimmed down from the 24 schools that offered Ngata, with schools like Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Washington, Notre Dame, and USC missing the cut Richard LeCounte Jersey. The elite athlete from Folsom, California is the second ranked APB in the class and the 48-rated player overall. Ngata is the kind of back that every offense in the country is looking to land; one that's good with his legs and his hands.  As a junior, he rushed for 874 yards and 10 touchdowns on 89 carries.  His 9. 8 yards-per-carry average was nearly a yard better than during his sophomore season.  He also nabbed 36 receptions for 666 yards and 10 touchdowns.  Oh, and he also contributed on special teams, returning two kickoffs for a combined 185 yards and two TDs and three punts for 99 yards. The Cowboys also made the cut for highly sought after 2021 pass-catcher Shadrach Banks Jr. , who announced his top 10 on Twitter on Saturday.  anks trimmed his list down from the 31(!!!) programs that offered, cutting out a few blue blood programs like Florida, Michigan, Penn State and Texas. There is a little bit of irony of OSU making the top 10, as 247 recruiting analyst Gabe Brooks compares Banks to a former Cowboys receiver James Washington. "Big-play machine.  Shows good awareness and feel for the game.  Strong runner who regularly gains yardage after contact.  Strong in the air and shows ability to take the ball away from defenders..  Natural playmaker with with long-term NFL Draft potential given proper quick-twitch improvement and technical development.
